Titre : Asphericity and residual properties of groups.

Résumé :

We will discuss some algebraic obstructions to the well-known Whitehead asphericity conjecture. Using the methods of faithfulness we present some obstructions in terms of derived central series of cat^1-groups. Also some aspects of absolutely residually nilpotent groups will be discussed.
