Presentation :

The main research interests of our group are:
real and complex analytic geometry,
holomorphic foliations and dynamical systems,
and geometrical and topological study of low dimensional manifolds.

Students from our group are regularly recruited on professor or research positions, such as M. Berthier (CNRS, and then Prof. La Rochelle), F. Loray (CNRS), L. Le Floch (Prof. La Rochelle), E. Fierro (Prof. Antofagasta, Chili), F. Touzet (Prof. Rennes), R. Méziani (Prof. Kenitra, Maroc), S. Lamy (Prof. Lyon1), L. Jean-Dit-Teyssier (MC Strasbourg), E. Lanneau (MC Toulon), S. Lelièvre (Paris XI) et G. Deschamps (Brest).

In 2005, three French's "Habilitation" have been defended in our group, namely L. Meersseman (who is now professor in University of Burgundy), B. Wiest and J. Rebelo. On the other hand, D. Cerveau obtained a senior fellowship at I.U.F. and F. Loray obtained a D.R. position at C.N.R.S.

Our group regularly invites researchers from foreign countries : F. Cano, A. Lins Neto, D. Marín, J. V. Pereira and P. Sad among others. In 2006-2007, M. Nicolau from Barcelona and D. Panazzolo from Sao Paulo are invited for long stay (3 months and 1 year respectively). G. Casale has just been recruited by our group on a position of Maître de Conférences ; L. Pirio has been recruited just one year ago by C.N.R.S. and is now in our group.

Members of our group usually participate in networks (French, European or international cooperation). At the moment, M. Baker and B. Wiest participate to the GDR 2105 of CNRS "Braids and topology in low dimensions" and F. Loray is local coordinator for the CNRS-CNPq French-Brasil cooperation for Mathematics. Members of our group are also regularly invited to international conferences or in other Universities (Rio, Valladolid, Barcelona). This year, A. Zorich is invited to give a lecture in Madrid's International Congress of Mathematics.

Since 1991, we gather each thursday for our weekly seminar, organized at the moment by L. Pirio.
